Abstract
This study aims to share the systematization of a popular education experience, using the language of the audiovisual, focusing on health promotion, held in the municipal school of the quilombola community of Castainho, Garanhuns-PE, during the course of the first group of the multiprofessional residence in family health with emphasis on the rural population. The project was built based on the concepts brought by popular education, giving the resident team, pedagogical coordination of the school and group of 8th and 9th graders the possibility of experiencing horizontal dialogue and participation of all, both in planning and in sessions. The methodology allows a dialogue with reality, bringing the possibility of reflection and change of the environment to which they are inserted.
