Abstract

The present work aims to share the experience of how was the implementation of Law 10639 at the Institute of Science and Technology of the Federal University of São Paulo, through the offer of the Curricular Unit called Ethnic-Racial Relations and Afro-Brazilian Culture. It also seeks to identify the internal and external motivations of the campus, which specificities have marked this process, as well as to outline the main theoretical and methodological references that have sustained not only the offer of a course but also an agenda of activities and engagement for ethnic-racial education and, consequently, the fight against institutional racism.
