ANTI-RACIST SCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION: TEACHING ETHNIC-RACIAL RELATIONS IN THE FINAL YEARS OF ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOL
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study comes from reports of experiences of teachers who work in schools in a context where inequalities and social injustice are still accentuated. In order for us to understand how racism permeates it is necessary to seek an understanding of the Teaching of Ethnic-Racial Relations (TERR) and the implementation of anti-racist education. The objective, then, is to point out ways to promote a political project that promoted anti-racist actions in school physical education classes in the final years of Elementary School and High School. The methodology is qualitative. The teachers' pedagogical actions show the intention of enabling a less unequal context and allowing students to build critical knowledge about racism and the manifestation of their own trajectories.
