HISTORY TEACHERS AND LAW 10.639/2003: TEACHERS GRADUATED IN UFC AND UECE AND THEIR PRACTICES IN CLASSROOM

Abstract
The objective of this work is to present the data of a research realized on the performance of History teachers in their school practices in the application of law 10.639/03. This research has a qualitative character, and the methodological procedures used are bibliographic and documentary analyzes on the subject and we have as a research tool, interviews conducted with high school teachers in the school investigated. The results show that the History teachers investigated, coming from the UECE and UFC, had not been contemplated with curricular component on Afro-Brazilian History and Culture, and that the teachers who have some knowledge on the subject, is due to the interest in the subject. It is necessary, then, to adapt to the Political and Pedagogical Projects of both universities, as well as teaching studies, with municipal and state support, aiming at a multicultural education.
