THE BLACK STUDENT COLLECTIVES AND THE STRUGGLE AGAINST THE HEGEMONIES OF KNOWLEDGE IN PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES IN THE STATE OF RIO DE JANEIRO
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this article, a reflection will be presented on the relationship between the emergence of Collectives of Black Students in public universities in the State of Rio de Janeiro and the crossing of these institutions by other forms of perception of professional and scientific training. These Collectives have built strategies for the dissemination of epistemologies built from black experiences about life, promoting a dialogue between these and other knowledge hegemonically consolidated in universities. This article was built from data from the author's dissertation research, defended at the Postgraduate Program in Social Policies of the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense (UENF), entitled "The Collectives of Black Students of Public Universities of the State of Rio de Janeiro and the Fight against Epistemological Racism”.
