Abstract
The Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations (ERER) is a way for children to build positive identities, of themselves and their peers, and also a means for them to be in contact with Afro-Brazilian and African culture. This article presents a discussion about the importance of ERER being inserted in early childhood education (EI). It should be noted that ERER is guaranteed at all levels of education. It is necessary that EI professionals are aware of the racial disparity in our society. Thus, an ERER needs to be discussed in teacher training courses, to assist / in the construction of pedagogical practices that consider and are promoters of race, reproduction or enforcement of legislation, or the development of all school promotion activities. racial.
