AFRICAN TRADITIONAL EDUCATION AND LAW 10.639/03: IN SEARCH OF DIALOGUES BETWEEN BENIN AND BRAZIL BLACK GEOGRAPHIES MAY COLLABORATE IN THIS PROCESS?
Main Article Content
Abstract
This text (re)presents some ideas of A. Hampatê Bá, A. Babatunde Fafunwa and other African theorists on traditional African education. It is structured in three sections. The first brings the main contributions of these authors to the theme. In the second, we seek to articulate his teachings with Law 10,639/03 and we present, in general terms, the research we developed on traditional family education in Benin (Ancient Kingdom of Daxomé) in the Professional Master's program in History Teaching (UFRRJ). The final phase is space to point out confluences between our research and Geography through Milton Santos' teachings on space times and contributions from K. McKittrick, C. Woods, Latoya E. Eaves and Harold Miltom Roses regarding the Black Geographies.
