Abstract
Considering the propositions of law 10.639/ 2003, this study intends to present a brief trajectory of art education in Brazil, trying to highlight the presence of the black in artistic works as thematic and as a subject that expresses itself artistically, transmitting his multiple knowledge through Art. These considerations can broaden the vision and understanding of the Black Hand in Brazilian art, its representations and its implications in education, allowing new reflections for teaching practice and for the critical artistic making of the students.
