Abstract

This article is the result of work, pedagogical activities, theoretical and methodological debates, the taught modules and of the execution by the pedagogical and coordinator team of the course Maroon School Education - The Pedagogical Use of Assistive Technology Resources - maroon territory and culture during the years 2014 and 2015. The course is the result of an extension project carried out in partnership with the Federal University of Tocantins (Campus of Porto Nacional) and Pro-Rector of Extension with the Ministry of Education and Culture with a total of 200 hours. Developed in two poles, one in the Maroon Community Malhadinha - Brejinho de Nazare-TO and the other in Ipueiras-TO in order to form leaders and members of the maroon communities in Tocantins. The aim of the course was to work with Maroon School Education focusing on the territory, history and culture of the communities.
