SCHOOL EDUCATION AT THE MAROON SANTA RITA DO BRACUÍ: ADVANCES AND CHALLENGES

Abstract
This article aims to report two technical visits with educational goals made in the maroon of Santa Rita do Bracuí, in Angra dos Reis city, in the state of Rio de Janeiro highlighting the progress and obstacles in implementing the curriculum guidelines of maroon school education. Since the introduction of the recent recognition of political civil rights of the maroon communities, we have advanced but also faced challenges in implementing a special methodology for these groups, the maroon education. We conclude that the public policy of diversity and inclusion gave rise to a new subject in the Brazilian educational scenario "the marron people" and a new teaching methodology to serve them. Among achievements and obstacles in implementing the curriculum guidelines of maroon school education, the maroon of Santa Rita do Bracuí has been trying to form educators committed to the demands of the group but also ensure the long-term integration of these in the public education system. In addition to guarantees of compliance by the local school system, the objectives and goals of the curriculum guidelines of maroon school education. Looking allies whether in government or in civil society the maroon Bracuí bet on including their members in Brazilian society through education.
