Abstract
In this research, we analyze from the reports of the history teachers of a state educational institution in the county of Nilópolis, as the Law 10.639/2003 was being received at that school education establishment, especially for the discussion of ethnic-racial relations and for teaching history. The goal of this interview allowed us to understand, through the speeches made by them and co-constructed between researcher and interviewed, if the guidelines of law 10.639/2003 were fulfilled in this school space.
