IMPLEMENTATION OF LAW 10.639: THE LOOK OF AN INTELLECTUAL BLACK

Abstract
This work promotes a reflection on the twenty years of the Law 10.639/03. It objects to contribute to the expansion of reflections on different ways of implementing the law, suggesting its effectiveness in the academic field. The methodological procedures were contemplated by a bibliographical review and interview with a university professor of education for ethnic-racial in Brazil, being also a participant of social movements. The text presents several analyzes on the difficulty of implementing the content on black history and culture in school and academic resumé, showing the point of view of the interviewed, according to his experiences in education. This study emphasizes the importance of the participation of teachers in all areas, in the teaching of black history and culture, contributing like that to the dissemination, understanding and recognition of this theme.
