Abstract

The research about racial-ethnic topic walks timidly in almost all areas of knowledge, presenting an insufficiency which precludes the development more fertile in the knowledge production in the libraries of public universities. The objective of this article is to identify and analyze themes most worked on their production of knowledge. Therefore, it was adopted a qualitative approach and technique of critical/interpretive analysis in which the researcher is inserted into the context. The empirical field of the research was the data base Curriculum Lattes - CNPq researchers from six postgraduate of the UFPB. The data have been collected through spreadsheets and tables aiming to understanding the academic thinking which remains crystallized to serve gestures of domination of the white elite and disfigure the black men/women in its history and culture. It was concluded that race relations still remains based on discrimination, prejudice and racism, making the memory of the science of this institution makes black people (in) visible in the production of knowledge. Thus, the current context of exclusion, where we are, is not away from a past of slavery, where individual and collective´s memory of Black men/women was erased in the process of creating a society based on Eurocentric model.
