DETERMINANTES DO CONSUMO ALIMENTAR DA POPULAÇÃO NEGRA NO BRASIL: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study is an integrative literature review aimed at synthesizing the dietary consumption patterns of the Black population in Brazil and identifying the factors that influence their diet. A search was conducted in six databases (SCOPUS, PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, LILACS, and MEDLINE) in Portuguese and English in January 2026, along with a manual search of the references of the included studies. A total of 14 cross-sectional studies, published between 2003 and 2024, were selected. The analysis revealed a higher consumption of beans, carbohydrates, and high-fat meats, and a lower consumption of fruits, vegetables, ultra-processed foods, sugar-sweetened beverages, and fast food among Black, mixed-race (pardo), and quilombola populations. Socioeconomic, racial, demographic, and territorial determinants were identified as influencing factors.
