Abstract

This text is based on an exploratory bibliographic analysis and is presented as a preliminary version of a Course Conclusion Paper for the graduation in Physical Education. It aims to investigate the formation of the practice of physical education in Brazil, questioning the aspects that codify the elaboration and the application of the same, as well as the exclusion of Afro-Brazilian and African cultures from the process of construction of the official knowledge of physical education in school throughout its history. Starting from the relation of agency and resistance of the people of terreiro to the African and Afro-Brazilian culture, the present text will indicate about the collaborative possibilities of these groups and their cultures for the application of the article 26A, allowing the glimpse of an afro-perspective in the application School physical education.
