WHITENESS AND THE COLONIALITY OF KNOWLEDGE

Abstract
This article intends to discuss the interfaces between knowledge production and the racial relations in Brazil. For such, we adopted as the main theoretical referential the postcolonial studies, considering the connections with the construction of whiteness in the Brazilian context. The central purpose is to dialogue with the productions that analyzes in which way the whiteness may or may not operate in the scientific knowledge field, but mainly in the reproduction of racial inequalities in Brazil.
