Abstract
This research aimed to analyze the approach of the theme on ethnic-racial relations and their impacts among students graduating from the degree course in Physical Education. To this end, thirty-four participants answered a questionnaire with open and closed questions dealing with the approach of the ethnic-racial relationship in the trajectory of professional training. The analysis of the data allowed to detect the absence of the content in a systematic way among the contents of the pedagogical project of the course and that the theme was approached sporadically and randomly, considering that only part of the participants indicated to have had the content at some point in the academic trajectory. Among the impacts, we highlight the fear and perception of unpreparedness for future professional performance, given the plural educational scenario they will encounter. Most participants recognize the importance of this knowledge in professional training and suggest, to compensate for the absence of the approach, effectiveness and systematization of this content in at least one discipline of the course, the search for knowledge in research groups and social movements. Twenty years since the implementation of Law 10.639/03 and we still have indicators pointing out neglect in its full effectiveness in various contexts and educational levels.
