Main Article Content
Abstract
An analysis of the socio-discursive representations of twelve teachers about the Brazilian indigenous in the context of the implementation of law 11.645/2008 at public schools in Altamira-Pará is presented in this article. Our interpretation of the empirical data was based on Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) (2016) and Theo Van Leeuwen’s Representation of Social Actors (1997). The results indicate that the process of implementing the law in question, within teaching-learning institutions, is configured as a serious problem of public policy in education, even having effects on the ways through which teachers represent indigenous people.
