Main Article Content
Abstract
Created in 2012, the Nucleus of Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies, NEABI – UENF, Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro, represents a milestone in the approximation between university and society in the municipality of Campos dos Goytacazes/RJ. Since its foundation, it has also been in constant dialogue with other institutions, especially the Instituto Superior de Educação Professor Aldo Muylaert (ISEPAM), through the OLHARES Africa-Brazil project. Believing in the important task that the school faces in the fight against racism and in the (re)education of ethnic-racial relations, OLHARES and NEABI act on the basis of some legal provisions, above all, Law 10.639/2003. This work seeks to report the trajectory of this partnership, which ended up creating approach methodologies for the anti-racist struggle.
