History, culture and resistence of the black population in the initial training of Chemistry teachers in the whitest state in Brazil

Abstract
After long years on the creation of Brazilian Law 10.639/03, wich instituted the obligatory approach to African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture in school, there are indications of a certais delay in training teacher to contemplate it. Thus, it was investigated how the approach of African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture is characterized in the initial training of Chemistry teachers in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The investigation carried out had as sources of data qualitative Pedagogical Projects of a Chemistry Degree Course in four institutions and semi-structured interviews with undergraduate students, wich were submitted to discursive textual analysis Superficial approaches to African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture in Chemistry Teaching stand out hiding the resistence of the black population in Brazil.
