Abstract

This article deals with experiences built for the management of policies to promote Racial Equality within the scope of the Federal Institute of Bahia – IFBA in 2020 until mid 2021, when the Institution started to be directed by a black Dean. In addition to the trajectory of life, reflections, challenges and actions built in order to meet regulations dealing with the education of ethnic-racial relations and affirmative actions are highlighted, but also with the expansion and construction of new legal guidelines in these 18 months of management in the rectory , of which 15 were marked by the worldwide health crisis as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
