Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to report and analyze the experience of the validation commissions held at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, in 2018, in order to contribute to the construction of a process that is considered by us as a pedagogical policy in ensuring vacancies for those who the affirmative action for blacks policy is actually intended to for. For this, we present a brief history of affirmative actions in UFSC, the national and institutional regulations that legally subsidize the quotas, and, finally, the process and procedures of heteroidentification experienced as president of the validation commission. The current process indicates that there are advances, but also, aspects to be overcome in the consolidation of affirmative actions and procedures used to validate the self-declaration of blacks.
