Abstract
In the present article, I present a review of the studies and debates elaborated in a master 's thesis defended in 2016, the result of the first group of the Professional Master' s Degree in Teaching History - ProfHistória, at the State University of Santa Catarina - UDESC. Youth and Adult Education (EJA) of the Municipal Network of Florianópolis and the preparation of material for the teaching of African and Afro-Brazilian History and Culture are the focus of this essay.
