THE CONSOLIDATION OF LAW 10.639 IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CAMPINAS-SÃO PAULO: EXPERIENCES AND CHALLENGES
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study presents the data referring to a research carried out with the educators of the Municipality of Campinas-SP, regarding the implementation and development of the actions related to Law 10.639, based on demand presented by the Education Committee of the Campinas. The questionnaire prepared for conducting the research was made available to the teaching network of the city of Campinas in a virtual environment of the Municipal Education Department, to which 218 Education professionals responded. The results indicate that, although the issues of African and African History are covered in the Political-Pedagogical Projects and Teaching Plans, they still do not enter into the pedagogical practices of teachers. They also highlight the lack of training and corroborate the evidence of the dynamics of institutional racism in school life, which operates through absence, silence and superficiality.
