Main Article Content
Abstract
Architecture and African art present a variety and examples associating philosophy with form. Taking African philosophies, we can explain and understand the abstractions and representations realized in the arts, architecture and urbanism by the African people. In this article, we present the relationship between African philosophies and the forms presented in architecture and art. We elaborate a synthesis in the form of afroethnomathematics for the teaching of mathematics and geometry through African art and buildings. The work has the introductory purpose of these forms of work for the teaching of mathematics in black neighborhoods, that is, localities of majority black population.
