Abstract

This article aims to discuss the imbrications of racial prejudice through the quota system and the process of training of black researchers in Brazil. This work emerged from reflections of a roundtable presented on November 18, 2015, at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas, IFAM- Campus Humaitá, which had the objective of promoting discussions and debates with the teaching staff and students in order to raise awareness of the importance of permanent discussion about racial prejudice. We believed that the objective was achieved, since the debate in the Institution has been permanent and in 2016 was held the second edition of the event.
