Abstract
In the teaching and learning process of Psychology, it is assumed that there are gaps in teaching about racial relations and racism, and this absence can impact the way in which psychologists develop their practices in the different areas of activity and in the scope of public policies. This study is characterized as a research that sought to analyze the thematic teaching of racism in the formative trajectories of psychologists in the city of Santa Maria/RS. The study used dialectical hermeneutic analysis of the information obtained through a field diary, form and semi-structured interview carried out with professional psychologists. The results discuss the absence of content related to racism during academic training in Psychology and the impacts of this absence of studies on racial relations in the academic curricula.
