THE HUMAN-NATURE RELATIONSHIP IN THE MANOEL CIRIACO DOS SANTOS QUILOMBOLA COMMUNITY: ENVIRONMENTAL RACISM AND POSSIBILITIES OF RESISTANCE
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research seeks to analyze how the human-nature relationship is constituted in the Manoel Ciríaco dos Santos Quilombola Community, located in Maracaju dos Gaúchos, Guaíra (PR), based on the hypothesis that the practice of monoculture of properties that delimit the community, it causes environmental damage, leaving its members exposed to the phenomenon of environmental racism. Through the qualitative method, the approach used consists of bibliographic analysis by authors such as Dandara Ribeiro (2018), and the realization of two remote interviews with community members, one semi-structured and the other open. It can be observed that the human-nature relationship established within the community intersects the following factors: ecological, political, economic, social and spiritual.
