Abstract
The following text deals with issues that cross the research “Black architects and architects around the world: Mapping the black presence in the field of architecture, urbanism and urban planning” (PPGAU FAUFBA, Salvador-BA) 1as well as its by-product the black architects website .ufba.br, now available online Focusing on the Brazil axis, it brings points such as the search for representation within the field of architecture and urbanism of black architects, professional references, reflection on the place that the black person occupies in the labor market, how to be the production of these professionals in relation to the media and academia. Important questions to contribute to the expansion of the repertoire that has been used within the field of activity and study, looking at these issues from a perspective related to reality Brazilian.
