Abstract
Abstract: The diasporic afrodescendent population of Latin America have a sharing of experiences and common elements of struggle. Knowing about the historical construction of the movements that fought for rights, participation and acknowledgement is important to recognize where we stand today. This paper explores the alliances, the opportunities and the developments of afrodescendent’s movements in the region recognizing the contribution of afrolatinoamerican women for this context. We write based on the black latin-american contemporary thought and the narrative of black female activists.
