Abstract

This work deals with influence of the culture and religiosity of the Bantu people, in the Baixada Fluminense, which even spread throughout the Brazilian territory from the beginning to the end of slavery, remains marginalized as a nation and religion, for keeping incompatibilities with western racism modern. The object was composed by the terreiros of the region. The methodology was based on field visits, priestly interviews, use of the internet, and bibliographic research. With the result obtained, it is intended to develop a material of historiographic and pedagogical contribution to apply in basic education and to enable the training of public and private education teachers in this theme, as an implementation of the Law. 10,639. In this way, it will provoke Brazilian society to dive into itself, seeking to understand what has not yet been well understood due to the neglect of knowledge of Africa and dispersed Africans.
