Abstract
The present research aims to analyze the effects of epistemicide as a device of the colonizing process from the silencing of black epistemologies in the process of construction of Brazilian black subjectivities. The different mechanisms of delegitimization of blacks were characterized as a carrier and producer of knowledge and the effects of epistemicide on the formation of Psychology in Brazil were identified, as well as the epistemological impacts of the colonization process. with black theorists who strongly criticize the productions of the so-called western world, making it possible to understand Psychology as a science historically silent on ethnic-racial issues.
