Abstract

This article's main objective is to problematize issues related to black masculinities through the perspectives of black and decolonial feminist thinking. Based on the theoretical references of afro-american, non-white and peripheral intellectuals, we intend to develop an exercise in reflection and discussion about black men and the problems that emerge from racialized inter-gender relations. This article is also an attempt to articulate the mentioned epistemologies and the #TheGangstaProjectII, a scientific investigation project on the black masculinities in the Hip Hop culture of the United States, in which the contributions of non-hegemonic feminist critics will be prioritized in the process of restructuring its theoretical-methodological framework.
