Abstract

The racial issue is a dilemma in countries that consider blacks, especially black women, as disa off-class citizens and without the possibility of having and creating knowledge, therefore in inequality with whites in different aspects. The objective of this theoretical essay was to carve out a debate about of black women for the Brazilian context, because this racial sign is configured as a marker of racial inequality. For the development of this essay, as researchers attentive to the construction of the term race, biological formation of the people, race relations and myth of racial democracy. The study's contribution is to broaden the discussion about racial issues in society and deconstruct a discriminatory view of a phenotype that stands for that of cultural normality of a given social class.
