Abstract
This article aims to highlight the participation and interpretation of Dona Laudelina de Campos Mello on ethnic and racial issues and the black in politics. By demarcating Dona Laudelina's life trajectory by party politics we had the opportunity to elucidate in a historical review the position of the various political parties in the face of ethnic and racial themes, corroborating the idea of the invisibility of this theme within the political parties.
