Abstract

This manuscript discusses the main theoretical contributions offered from the first
work of the philosopher Renato Noguera - one of the greatest exponents of African and AfroBrazilian philosophy today. He seeks, along with other references in the field of African
philosophy, to problematize the political place of knowledge production, presenting the objectives
drawn from the law n. 10.639 / 03 intertwined with the concepts of coloniality of power, agency
and afroperspectivity. When Noguera sees the racial criterion based on European modernity as a
determining trait for the subalternization of the knowledge of African peoples, which provides
the basis for epistemicide, he provides objective reflections from references to fundamental
authors and practical curricular proposals, pointing out how to include African philosophy and
the Afro-Diasporic in the high school Philosophy curriculum.
