THE CLINIC AND ITS CHALLENGES: COVENANTS AND OMISSIONS IN STUDIES ABOUT THE BLACK IN BRAZIL
Main Article Content
Abstract
The text addresses the points of convergence between literatures from psychology and clinical psychology. It establishes criticism to the work of the psychologist and the ways in which the construction of the epistemological concepts are used without considering the racial ethnic aspects of the subjects. It adds the critique of the scarcity of studies and research in the field of clinical psychology and race relations, expanding the discussion from the analysis of the work of the clinical psychologist. It concludes that advances in the field require ethical, historical, and political positioning by "psi" professionals, blacks, whites, and non-blacks.
