INTERRELATIONS BETWEEN PSYCHOANALYSIS AND NEGRITUDE: DISCURSIVE HELPLESSNESS, SUBJECTIVE CONSTITUTION AND IDENTIFICATORY
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this writing, we begin by pointing out the frequent silencing of racial inequality in Brazilian psychoanalytical articles and refuting some theoretical justifications for this omission. In counterpoint to a supposed neutrality of the analyst, so commonly acclaimed as proof of theoretical rigor, we advocate a committed clinic. We understand that whiteness promotes a violent symbolic appropriation which by its turn produces discursive helplessness in the subject and we point out the importance of horizontal relations to face this helplessness. We defend the concept of identification-disidentification as a key theoretical operator to align subjectivity with the social field, allowing the singularity of the subject to be included, without neglecting the relevance of collective constructions and the advances through political guidelines and struggles.
