Abstract
This article, considering the importance that the year 2011 has a place in the timeline of the processes involving ethnic-racial relations, as much by to be internationally the year of African descent people, as the death of Abdias Nascimento, search, through its historiography, discuss the legacy of his work in building an active academic ethos in the new category of intellectual blacks.
