Abstract
This study aims to consider the representation of child hood in Brazilian literature from Conceição Evaristo’s short stories Di Lixão e Zaíta esqueceu de guardar os brinquedos (Di DumpandZaítaforgottoputawaythetoys) and Jônatas Conceição’spoems Onde eu nasci passa um rego e Amparo, o mágico (Where I wasbornis a gullyand Amparo, themagician). The proposal is to discuss how Conceição and Evaristo narrate the childhood in these texts, considering how the childhood is being represented and the dialogs between the canon representation of childhood within the literature and its reverberations on the treatment that black children receive within society. The concepts of representation and expression, thought by Deleuze and Guatarri the concept of Escrevivência thought by ConceiçãoEvaristo will be engaged as a theoretical basis to develop this study.
