Abstract
These work was an effort to bring in brief lines the history of Africa and Afro-Brazilian. It briefly raises questions about the African continent, especially Sub-Saharan Africa; On the Brazilian colonization; The favelas as spaces of production and producers of knowledge; The implementation of Law 10.639 / 03; And the political activism of the black population as a way to expand the rights of citizenship.
