Abstract
Este livro enfoca de maneira simples e direta a complexidade de se pensar em uma
cosmovisão africana no Brasil. O autor, Eduardo David de Oliveira, é doutor em Educação
pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) e professor adjunto da Faculdade de Educação da
Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). É também presidente do Instituto de Pesquisa da
Afrodescendência (Ipad) e sócio fundador do Instituto de Filosofia da Libertação (IFIL). Sua
proposta, ao escrever A Cosmovisão Africana, é de que, a partir do conhecimento de base
africana, se examine a possibilidade de uma filosofia afrodescendente para a sociedade
brasileira.
