REPRESENTATIONS OF BLACK WOMEN UNDER THE FEMININE PERSPECTIVE IN CADERNOS NEGROS
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research Feminine Voices in the Cadernos Negros: representations of insurgence sought to investigate how representations of black women are constructed in the feminine production published in that Afro-Brazilian anthology between 1978 and 2006. Based on an evaluation of tales and poems, this investigation has demonstrated that afro-Brazilian women writers express a counterdiscourse in their literary production, questioning and disrupting a literary tradition which represents black women through negatives images.
