Abstract
In order to investigate and analyze mass media images of the black population, it is necessary to take different perspectives into account. Such perspectives contain lots of facts and fragmented representations, which seem to be disconnected many times, for most of the mass media production is based on society’s everyday and present life events. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to understand the symbolic sets related to the black population. These sets are in the mass media influencing the deconstruction, the constructions and the re-constructions of identity.
