Abstract

This paper aims to build some questions that might direct the reader to the interpretations that are visual constructions of identity, and between them, the black identity represented by the images shown by the cinema, in the form of visual storytelling. We could say that, as a form of manifestation of visual culture, the black film has an own and singular image? It is possible to glimpse an image constructed from a complex technological producer of symbols social, political, economic, historical, cultural and subjective represented by the Cinema, which is more complex when it cuts the category of blackness. Who is interested in a “black cinema”? More than properly answer this, we seek to identify the subject position from which it aims a “black Cinema.”
