Abstract
This article aims to analyze the process of hospital care based on the experience of a psychology resident (2024–2025), articulating escrevivência and Afro-diasporic and decolonial epistemologies inspired by the Mirror of Òsun and the metaphor of water. It critiques biomedical orthodoxy and Western rationality, proposing care as a relational, political, and ethical experience grounded in memory, ancestry, and the dignity of life.
