Abstract

This article seeks to reconstruct the ideal of modernity in the audiovisual in the Brazilian audiovisual from the experience of the black population in production. Such a revision approaches the limits of historically prevailing categories in the regulation of policies: the national and the independent. Both are associated with research methodologies that obscure or underestimate the contribution of the black population in the relations of citizenship of the country, mainly in its cultural production. Copyright, in this sense, is the normative horizon for recognizing that the artistic and cultural expressions of the black population need to be in communion with the contemporary technological scene in which new groups integrate production systems, mainly through the internet and its free platforms such as YouTube.
