Main Article Content
Abstract
In this work I intend to present the artwork of Clara Nunes of the 1970s, when she was consecrated as a samba singe, playing songs that described the peculiarities of African and Afro-Brazilian cultures she has become an important instrument in the fight against racism, becoming symbol of black resistance and identification in the 70s of the century XX. To support the discussion, I will present a possible analysis of the song “Canto das Três Raças”; composition of Mauro Duarte and Paulo Cesar Pinheiro, recorded in 1976 by Clara Nunes in the disk titled “Canto das Três Raças”.
