BRAZILIAN NATIONAL GYMNASTICS: BLEACHING AND MISCEGENATION ON THE CAPOEIRA’S SONGS

Abstract
Capoeira has been presented nowadays as a cultural manifestation associated with Brazilian black culture. Although, the transformation process of the capoeira in a Brazilian martial art, brings to light the bleaching process that guided the Republican public policies in the first decades of the twentieth century. Therefore, the present article aims to analyze how occurred the bleaching process of capoeira, as well as its transformation in a Brazilian national gymnastics. We intend to examine that such cases are reported in some songs sung by old masters, still used today in capoeira circles.
