Abstract

ABSTRACT: The objective of this article is to discuss the process of consecration and circulation of texts by black women writers, in particular, Maria Firmina dos Reis, based on the concept of intersectionality, coined by Davis (2016) and Social Trajectory, thought by Bourdieu (1996 and 2003). The invisibility that black women writers experience is quite striking when we observe the Brazilian literary field, the little recognition and consecration of their work. In this aspect, we realize that studying black women, as highlighted by bell hoolks (1995), without punctuating their trajectories is a methodological failure, since their writings bring a phenomenon described by Conceição Evaristo as 'writings',. The methodology of this work consists of analyzing the construction of the legitimizing instances that provided the legitimization of the Maria Firmina, albeit late, connecting them to their emotional issues combined with the construction of their narratives.
